Loreto 07.11..09, seeing the Blue-throated Macaw the hard way, part II

The light varied considerably in the evening, but many bird shove up, and I it is at least possible to identify the birds. Totally I saw five species of Seedeaters in a couple of hours. Here are some of them.
Rusty-collared Seedeater, male. Not a sharp photo but the bird is identifiable.


Lined Seedeater, male and female

Double-collared Seedeater, male in poor light. Caqueta Seedeater and White-bellied Seedeater were also seen during the short walk around the town.

Together with Finn Jørgensen I had a daytrip from Ollantaytambo to the east slope (below Abra Malaga). We had many good birds, among them Marcapata Spintail, Inca Wren & Unstreaked Tit-Tyrant. At the photos some of the other birds observed during this daytrip.

You can find many nice parks in Lima. I found one in San Isidro with many birds as well during a visit 17.09.08

Birds from Moho, Lake Titicaca

During a trip to Moho 1-4.09.08 I observed among others more than 100 Titicaca Grebes. It seems to be easy to count these birds at this time of the year. I have earlier posted photos of Titicaca Grebe, and here I post pictures of some other birds seen in Moho. All of them are quite common species. Above: Chiguanco Thrush.
