More seabirds

More seabirds from the pelagic from Callao, Lima 03 of August.

Pink-footed Shearwater, the white underparts also seen well on the birds observed.
Sooty Shearwater, more than 10.000 seen.

This is a White-chinned Petrel, it is not easy to see the white on this bird, but there is something under the bill.

Below: No white visible at his bird, but the bill indiates that it is a White-chinned Petrel.

Swallow-tailed Gull

Hi Tor Egil, I am impressed about all the good pictures you have posted on your blogg. You mentioned poor light and high ISO, but that does not matter with a result like this. Can you pls give me the latin for the Westland, I can not find it in my book.
Hopefully I can visit a hot spot like this with tousands of seabirds visible. The number of sootys is fantastic!!!

See you

Hi Finn, thanks for your comment: Westland Petrel (Procellaria westlandica). I don’t think it can be this species anymore because of the bill color (dark tip on Westland Petrel).
