So this parasite behavior from Sniny Cowbird is more and more common in this area. Hopefully it will not make any problems for some local bird species. I have seen Brown-Headed Cowbird in US, they did make a lot of problems for the Kirtlands Warbler, a rare bird in Michigan, parasiting their nest. The local nature guards had spesial traps to catch these birds and take them away from the area(killed or transported far away, I do not remember)
It is specially Rufous-collared Sparrows that are suffering in Mejía (luckily not a threatened species). We did the firs observations of Shiny Cowbird here 10 years ago. We are going to have them around the house all the time.
